    Essentials - list of things

Below is a basic list of things you should prepare for your kitten.
Don't worry - the kitten already receives most of them in the layette from our cattery, so the new owner has time to calmly complete the rest of the equipment according to their own preferences.

    1. Basic equipment
Litter box – preferably open to start with, placed in a quiet and peaceful place.
Litter – we recommend starting with the same litter that the kitten used in the cattery
Water and food bowls – stable, easy to clean; water should always be fresh and available.
Carrier – essential when picking up the kitten and visiting the vet.

    2. Food
Dry and wet food – at first, it is best to use the same food that the kitten ate in the cattery
Treats – as a reward, an element of fun and building relationships (also in layettes).

    3. Rest and safety
A bed, blanket or box – a place where the kitten can hide and feel safe.
Scratching post – helps satisfy the natural need to scratch and protects furniture.

    4. Fun and development
Toys – fishing rods, feathers, balls, mice; they help release energy and build a bond with the caregiver.
    5. Care
Brush or comb – appropriate to coat type.
Nail clippers – for regular, gentle care.

    6. Support for the first days
Anti-stress preparations – they can help your kitten adapt more calmly to a new home.

    It's worth remembering:
A kitten leaving the Silver Friends PL* cattery receives a rich layette, including food, treats, toys, care accessories, and items that smell of the cattery.
Thanks to this, the new owner does not have to prepare everything at once - the kitten's most important needs are met from day one.
